IPTV installation guides

Fire OS does not carry IPTV players in its own store, so the app is side loaded with the Downloader tool. This is a supported Amazon feature, not a modification.

1. Open Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options, and switch on Apps from Unknown Sources. On newer models you may need to open About and click the Fire TV Stick name seven times first.
2. Search the Amazon Appstore for Downloader, install it and open it. Allow the storage permission it asks for.
3. In the Downloader URL box, type the address of the IPTV Smarters Pro APK we send with your login, then choose Go.
4. Let the download finish, choose Install, then Open when it completes. Delete the APK file when Downloader offers to free the space.
5. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API, give the playlist any name you like, and enter the username, password and server URL from your email.
6. Wait for the channel list and guide to load the first time. Afterwards the app opens straight into your last channel.

TiviMate is on the Play Store, so nothing needs side loading. This is the smoothest setup of any platform.

1. Open the Play Store on the TV and search for TiviMate IPTV Player. Install it.
2. Launch TiviMate and choose Add Playlist, then Xtream Codes.
3. Enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email, then confirm.
4. Pick the channel groups you want visible. Anything you leave unticked stays out of your guide.
5. Open Settings, then EPG, and set the guide to refresh automatically once a day.
6. Optional: use Settings, then Playlists, then Channel groups to reorder your favourites to the top.

Tizen sets use Smart IPTV or IBO Player, both of which register the television by its MAC address once.

1. Open the Samsung Apps store on the TV, search for Smart IPTV or IBO Player, and install it.
2. Open the app. It displays a MAC address and a device key on screen. Write both down.
3. On a phone or computer, go to the app provider site, enter that MAC address, and upload the M3U link from your welcome email.
4. Complete the one time device activation the site asks for.
5. Return to the TV and restart the app. Your channel list loads automatically.
6. If the list does not appear, close the app fully from the TV home screen and reopen it rather than reloading inside the app.

webOS follows the same MAC registration route as Samsung, through the LG Content Store.

1. Open the LG Content Store, search for Smart IPTV, IBO Player or Flix IPTV, and install your choice.
2. Launch the app and note the MAC address shown on the first screen.
3. On another device, visit the app provider site, enter the MAC address and paste your M3U link.
4. Pay or complete the one time activation if the app asks for it.
5. Restart the app on the TV. Channels and the guide load together.
6. Set your favourite groups so the guide opens on the channels you actually watch.

Everything comes from the App Store, so there is no side loading on Apple hardware.

1. Open the App Store and install GSE Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters Player.
2. Open the app and choose Xtream Codes API as the login type.
3. Enter the server URL, username and password from your email, then save.
4. Allow the channel list and EPG to download once. On a large list this takes a minute.
5. On Apple TV, sign in with the same details. The two stay independent, so you can watch on either.
6. Turn on the parental PIN in the app settings if children use the device.

The quickest setup of all. Useful as a test device before you touch the television.

1. Install IPTV Smarters Pro or XCIPTV Player from the Play Store.
2. Open it and select Login with Xtream Codes API.
3. Paste the server URL, username and password from your welcome email.
4. Give the playlist a name and confirm. The channel list appears immediately.
5. Use the app hardware decoder setting if playback stutters on an older phone.
6. Cast to a Chromecast from inside the app if you want it on the big screen without another install.

A desktop player is the fastest way to confirm that a specific channel is working before you blame the TV.

1. Download IPTV Smarters Pro for desktop, or install VLC if you only need a quick check.
2. In IPTV Smarters, choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter your details.
3. In VLC instead, open Media, then Open Network Stream, and paste your M3U link.
4. Let the playlist load fully before opening a channel.
5. If a stream stalls, switch the output module in the player settings before changing anything else.
6. Keep the desktop player installed as your diagnostic tool for support conversations.

Set top boxes use a portal address rather than an app login. Send us the MAC address and we will bind the line to the box.

1. On a MAG or Formuler box, open Settings, then System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.
2. Enter a portal name and paste the portal URL we send you. Save.
3. Send us the box MAC address from the System Information screen so we can authorise it.
4. Restart the box from the menu rather than pulling the power. The portal loads on boot.
5. On Enigma2 receivers, install a playlist plugin over FTP or through the plugin browser, then add the M3U link.
6. Rescan the bouquets once so the channels sit in the right groups on your remote.
